I just did a lab today titrating acid, nothing crazy just NaOH & H2SO4. Yet watching this it dawns on me that even with the Professor's hands the way they are, he would probably get more accurate results in the experiment
 I did today than me. He's just that awesome! (Also, I'm bad at chemistry.)

At school we were allowed to handle potassium or sodium dichromate(VI) ourselves but not sodium chromate(VI) - due to the carcinogenic nature. The chromium(III) oxide that results is something we often saw after using a dichromate to oxidise something - we did ethanol twice at A-level, once to ethanal, and once to
 ethanoic acid. And yes, it was a dichromate being reduced to chromium(III) oxide in breathalysers. Chromium(IV) oxide is also well known - good magnetic tape was coated with it.
