Traditional Latin Mass: Feast of the Sacred Heart

Traditional Latin Mass: Feast of the Sacred Heart

Uploaded by: trady
Video Description:
Traditional Latin Mass filmed on the Feast of the Sacred Heart in the small chapel of the International Seminary of Saint Cure d'Ars, Flavigny, France, in 1999. The seminary is the Society of Saint Pius X's second European seminary. Typically seminarians spend their first year of spiritually there before leaving for Ec
ône, Switzerland, to complete their training. The film presents the ceremonies of the Missa Solemnis or Solemn High Mass with Gregorian chant and polyphonic motets. Some local customs take place during the Mass. For example, birettas are not worn and the Domini Non Sum Dignus is recited aloud by
all present. More astute listeners might also notice the French pronunciation, which is perhaps not the ideal. This film has been available on the Internet for quite some time encoded in a very low quality format. I have encoded the video here from an original source at the highest quality possible
given the size restrictions at Youtube. Unfortunately this has resulted in a slightly blurred picture and mono sound rather than stereo. Apart from the addition of captions, the film remains unchanged.

No really it's true ... ( 2 weeks ago by magnus56j)
No really it's true. Ask your priest or bishop. They will tell you that the sacrifice at Mass is a sacrifice of propitiation used to satisfy God's anger. The Catholic Encyclopedia says: "Christian faith teaches us that the Incarnate Son of God by His death on the cross has in our stead fully satisfied God's anger at our sins." Another part in the Catholic Encyclopedia's explanation of
salvation says: "as priest Christ stood between heaven and earth, reconciling sinful man with his angry God."

Inchini, riverenze, baciamani... sembrano dei manichini di legno rivestiti di pizzi e broccati. Il tutto piuttosto ridicolo. Dio si prega in spontaneit

The Vatican rests on the tomb of Peter, so I
guess you call Jesus a liar.
It's not an issue ... ( 1 week ago by magnus56j)
It's not an issue of Peter's primacy, it's
an issue of papal universal jurisdiction, which was never taught by Christ.
Array ( 1 week ago by ENDRENOABORTION)
Why,
that is simply stupid. Jesus said "Church" not churches. Jesus handed the keys to one person.

No that is just an excuse. There is no priest shortage by a surplus of fake catholics making up excuses. Nothing was really changed, anything that is in the NO you can find was used at some point in Church history. Common language was the original form- Latin only used for 400 years of the Churchs 2000 year history. There
is no such thing as a traditionalist- by your argument you would have to say the Holy Spirit abandoned the Church, which is to call Jesus a liar- wake up.

That is simply not the truth ENDRENOABORTION. We clearly see that the keys were given to all the Apostles in John 20:21-23. There would be no purpose to having other bishops or Ecumencial Councils if the Bishop
of Rome was considered to be the infallible head.
Array ( 1 week ago by ENDRENOABORTION)
Wrong, John 21:15
I would quote back. It is very clear particularly in the first Chapt of Acts that Peter is in charge.
It only shows that ... ( 1 week ago by magnus56j)
It only shows that Peter was mediator over the council. Orthodoxy has no problem with this. The Bishop of Rome was mediator in the Early Church. However, the Bishop of Rome only had mediate authority. He did not have immediate authority. For example, in Rome today, a man can only be a bishop if the pope allows it. However, this was never the case in the ancient Church. In the early Church, a bishop was usually appointed by three other bishops. This is clear in
 history. See Ignatius of Antioch.

I am either reading you wrong or you are mistaken. In the Catholic Church it
is under current authority that a bishop has to be approved by the Pope. A bishop can in fact do it without Papal authority and the new bishop will still be valid as what occured with SSPX- the answer was to simply excommunicate the bishops which was since rescinded.
Anyway Rome admits ... ( 1 week ago by magnus56j)
Anyway Rome admits in their Council of Constance in
1415 that a general council has authority over the pope. "Legitimately assembled in the holy Spirit, constituting a general council and representing the Catholic church militant, it has power immediately from Christ; and that everyone of whatever state or dignity, even papal, is bound to obey it
in those matters which pertain to the faith, the eradication of the said schism and the general reform of the said church of God in head and members."
The basis for ... ( 6 days ago by JonathanCatholick)
The basis for Petrine Infallibility and authority (infallibility under special circumstances carefully defined by the First Vatican Council, authority in other cases) is solid in Scripture, Tradition, and the Fathers alike. Irenaeus, Cyprian, Pope St. Julius I, Augustine, and Patriarch John of Constantinople in AD 715 may all be invoked to demonstrate that there was significantly more to the office of the Vicar
of Peter/Christ than modern Orthodox admit to, as well as other authorities.
What is clear is ... ( 6 days ago by JonathanCatholick)
What is clear is that the Patriarch of Rome had the authority, even in the second age, to excommunicate Eastern Bishops for celebrating Easter at the wrong time; Irenaeus chastised him for doing so, saying it was unjust, but he did not object that it was not in his authority to do so.
Similarly, the Eastern Bishops did not object that he did not have the authority to do so. The Pope is, according to orthodox Faith, the Sacred Head of the whole Church, and the New Joshua and Davidic Steward.
The Bishop of Rome ... ( 6 days ago by magnus56j)
The Bishop of Rome only had mediate authority, not
immediate. Plus, Rome is now requiring the Eastern Catholic priests be celibate in the United States, which means the United States will see many people leaving the Eastern Catholic Churches and returning to the Orthodox Church. This is quite a blessing for Orthodoxy.

The "sspx" like the vatican-2
heretic cult ... has absolutely nothing to with the Catholic Church, which of course means they are not Christians. The "sspx" hoax completely rejects the Catholic Dogma on Water Baptism and promote the devil joke of "baptism of desire" - - Dogma on Section 7.2 of Immaculata-one (dot) com The
"sspx" hoax is in complete violation of the Catholic Jurisdiction and Governance Dogma ... with their "supplied jurisdiction" insanity - - See Section 87 of the above site.

And you are calling Jesus a liar. Sorry, but you are the heretic, do you really think
that you are more Catholic than the Pope ? Yes, we have had some bad Popes, not just now but throughout the 2000 year history of the Church. Maybe the next Pope will focus on the quality instead of the quantity and start to turn things around. But let me tell you something, when that Pope com
es along just remember that you were the one who abandoned the Church, not the Holy Spirit.

The "sspx" keeps to Catholic Tradition in Rites and practices ... but they do NOT keep to Catholic Tradition in Dogma. This is why the "sspx" folks are all headed for Hell. I list the fantastic heresies of the "sspx" on Section
